Political comments are not allowed because they cause less restrained Members to strongly disagree or agree. Just simple made comments such as "I blame this Administration" could cause a thread to go in the wrong direction. Please don't make any reference at all in your posts that are of a political nature. Cherokee Chat is financed by the Webmaster with some help received via Members Donations. It is a Not For Profit operation, so please don't try to promote your business by making posts which are aimed at selling your products or services. If you constantly sign your posts with a link to a website selling a product or service, you are breaking this rule.

SELLING YOUR OWN UNWANTED PARTS

It is perfectly ok make a post which offers your own unwanted items for sale. We all gather stuff in our hangers and offering them to other Members is a useful service and helps pay for the 100LL we all need to fly our Cherokees.

I have no idea why anybody would ever attack another Member in a forum aimed to give help to Piper Cherokee pilots & owners. But since the old Pilot Cherokee Chat was sold to the For Profit organisation Piper Owner Society [POS] it has often become a place for misguided individuals to write posts which are both degrading and quite out of place. When that forum was run by Terry Rogers, he occasionally deleted posts and threads that became personal attacks. Unfortunately the POS does not do that, and that forum has often become a place where threads have run totally out of control with abuse being directed at and by a small number of Members who ought to be ashamed of themselves.

I am neither a Dictator, Supreme Being or Egotistic ! I am just a normal guy who is Administering a forum aimed at providing a venue where all interested folk can discuss Piper Cherokee Aircraft. In doing so I want to maintain decent standards and will not hesitate to delete posts which do not comply with these very simple rules.
